The Tool Program exists to handle acts of recomposition directed at tools that we use; changing raw materials into tools, changing damaged tools into working tools, turning dull edges back into ones that serve their purpose.
People doing good work are best served by good tools, but many working class folks can't afford things that aren't made by the lowest bidder on the other side of the planet. Cheap steel that dulls quickly and is hard to keep sharp, handles that snap and splinter, and wooden elements from who knows what forest? Many new-hands don't event know how to properly use or maintain their tools; at best they just damage them and allow handles to dry and snap, and at worst they get themselves hurt.
Working people deserve better; the Tool Program will allow recomposers to create and maintain tools to serve themselves as well as all those in their community who live by making and cultivating things people need.
